1月4日，在阿拉伯联合酋长国迪拜举行的“哈利法塔”（前称“迪拜塔”）落成典礼上，大屏幕上显示出楼高828米字样。阿联酋当晚为高达828米的“迪拜塔”举行盛大落成典礼，并以阿联酋总统、阿布扎比酋长谢赫哈利法·本·扎耶德·阿勒纳哈扬的名字将其命名为“哈利法塔”。
